About the Artist
Sarah Jane is a contemporary abstract expressionist artist based in
Los Angeles, California. Her work explores the intersection of
emotion, energy, and spontaneous creation, drawing inspiration from
the gestural freedom of mid-century abstract expressionism while
incorporating contemporary sensibilities.
Working primarily in acrylic and mixed media, Jane's paintings
capture the tension between control and chaos, intention and
accident. Her signature technique involves layering paint through
pouring, dripping, and gestural mark-making, creating complex
compositions that reveal new details with each viewing.
Jane holds an MFA from UCLA and has exhibited her work in galleries
across California and internationally. Her pieces are held in
private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
